California

We are back from Cali. We had a great time over there everything came out to perfection. Thanks to The Mendoza and Acevedo Family for their hospitality throughout our stay Thanks!! Katrinas XVanera was beautiful. Jayson almost joined her as she was dancing her first dance. OOPS Sorry!

JAYSON AND ANGEL (THE TWO DANCERS)

JAYSON AND ANGEL AGAIN AT THE DANCE FLOOR

We had dinner at this Chinese Restaurant in Hollister CHEN SUENG (I think) it was alright except for the egg rolls they were spring rolls (at least here in Texas) other than that it was good.

Getting Ready California Here We Go!!!

Well I have been so busy at work it isnt funny. Jayson got sick on me Sunday afternoon and continued through yesterday since I am not all for seen his pediatrician here reason been that it takes longer for him to get over a cold versus seen his Pediatrician in Mexico Dr. Soto he gets well right away... so yesterday I called to make an appointment and take him he was given some meds and by night it was Jayson all over again. Jayson you are a mighty boy, action boy nothing stops you unless you are ill. And even then you are so strong and never have you had a sad face on you. You are such a happy baby I LOVE YOU! So I think Jayson feels that we are leaving somewhere last night I was getting my suit case kind of ready and he was sitting on my bed next to the suitcase and he would smile at me and clap!! Or he thinks I am leaving and he gets to stay with his grandparents so they can spoil him more than what he is. Oh my God! time is going by very fast two more days and Bonvoyage here we go. I am so excited for this trip and at the same a bit nervous traveling with Jayson I hope he has a pleasant trip...will keep you posted!

Halloween 2009

I've been out for some time I just have found myself doing so many things all together. This Halloween JAYSON dressed as "Woody" from Toy Story. Needless to say it is his favorite movie (s). We did not go Trick or Treating this year. My sister had a party for my nephew so the theme was Halloween. JAYSON had a good time I took several pictures though the ones I will post today he had just woken up from a nap before we got to the party, we get there and he wakes up. You can see his face where he is not smiling at all but still thought I could share with all of you. Looking forward for our trip to California next week. Any advice on traveling with a toddler are extremely welcomed. Thanks.

JAYSON AND I

I have been out for several days too busy at work and my unconditional attention to JAYSON. He has been sick with CROUP its that barking cough we went to the doctor on Wednesday and Dr. Costa gave him a shot to help him get rid of it I cant remember the name he had this ugly cough, runny nose, congestion. It has cleared a bit his cough is almost gone, but he continues having a runny nose and some flem. He doesnt know how to spit them out so, to him is difficult and when he starts coughing he starts crying. last night he woke up three times crying I think his throat would hurt when he would cough on one of the ocassions he had fever I gave him some Advil (pediatric) and went back to sleep after a while but he would be crying and kept on sobing. On another ocassion he woke up and he was sweating alot I think it was that he had taken the Advil before that and it was making effect. My mom rubbed some Vicks on his chest, back and soles of his feet he vomit some flem I wanna say 5 minutes after she rubbed his chest. So Vicks does work. I am so confused with all this going on. Then the famous H1N1 virus and Vaccine. I just think he will not be getting that vaccine its new and has not been tested on humans so Ive read. Here is a picture of Jayson and I on Saturday at Angel's birthday party. HOpe he gets better through the weekend

Saturday, I got invited to a baby shower for the daughter of a lady that I work with and then my cousin CINDY has Angels' birthday party that same afternoon I will probably end up going to see the movie until Sunday. I wonder if JAYSON will sit throught the 2 shows. Yvonne says that she doubts MICA would stay sit.haha. Jayson is also so active, put he watches movies at home back to back!

Holloween To Do List...

Hi! So far we have started to shop for costumes for Holloween my sister will be having a party on that day she will celebrate my nephew Sauls birthday (10-28) on that day so we are planning a party for that day. JAYSON got his woody costume this weekend we are just mission the accessories which we should get this weekend cause they ran out of at the disney store. I have to mention that on Friday when we went to the Disney store to buy it it was about 8:30 they had ran out of JAYSONS size XXS and the attendant told me that they had some at the Mercedes Outlets my sister and I were on line to purchase some other Toy Story items and all of the sudden the lights go completely off you can imagine the KAOS at the Mall. Saturday we went over to the Disney Store at Mercedes so we finally got it. Yay!! So here is a picture of the costume I promise I will take a picture of Jayson wearing it soon.

TOY STORY FEVER

Yesterday was a nice day... we had rain in the later part of the day at 4:00ish the climate started to change dark skies, windy and the degrees went down in a couple of minutes it was a hot, stuffy day super HOT then it went on to a nice day. We went to the Mall to make payments...couldnt resist the shoe sale at Macys bought two pairs of shoes only because my favorite, third pair they couldnt find the other shoe and my fourth pair they didnt have it on my size so I'm heading back this wknd and hopefully they have found the pair to the third of my favorite.

When we waled into our kitchen there was a Woody Toy in its box on top of the table unopened Jayson looks at it and turns to see me and smiles. He goes and gets my mom to show her what he found. This new Wood presentation has more of the sayings including "Theres a snake in my boot!" My sister bought it for him on her way back from work and of course Saulito got one too. My nephew opens it for him and he turns him around and starts pulling on his string over and over. I hope he doesnt break it or something. Then we went off to my room and watched TV. JAYSON was wondering (as usual) hanging around the TV needless to say turning on and off the TV for me and giving me a sweet smurk. All of the sudden the preview for the Toy Story 1&2 3D comes out and JAYSON turns around at me and back to the screen and didnt move at all. The commercial is over and comes to me and gives me a big hug, I wondered if he understood what they were saying but all I know is that its not only playing in our truck now is on the actual TV his mom watches so I think he knows theres something coming up... I cant wait until it comes out so that I can take him to watch them it even comes with a bargain we watch 1&2 for the same PRICE!!! Looking forward for OCTOBER 2nd.

This picture was taken last week when we were at a stop sign coming back from the doctors office. YEP! he is watching Toy Story 2.

Time goes by...Fast

I was going over some pictures saved into my computer and saw a picture of JAYSON from his first COYOTE FOOTBALL game and realized that my baby is growing so fast. Time is really flying. I hope for JAYSON to grow being a good boy. I wish for him to attend college become a Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer or better yet become a MLB Player of course playing to one of my favorites such as the Braves, Cubs or Astros. I can see myself (Cotton Head) sitting behind the catcher (Barbara Bush)at each of his games. WOW!! I hope that we never get seperated by time which will probably happen when he goes on to college. maybe I will relocate yeah I dont think so I have to let him experience on his own.

BYE BYE BINKY

It has just slipped my mind to let you all know that JAYSON no longer uses a binky, thank GOD for that. It seemed as if JAYSON only used the binky as a habit which really helped me during his first year of life. He has been a great baby never did he wake up during the night for a bottle. He would wake up and search for his binky around his area and he would put it on his mouth himself and go back to sleep. This past Friday I put his binky away where he wouldnt be able to see it. He did fine, at night he missed his binky I gave him a milk bottle (6oz) he finished it and put himself into his usual position and fell asleep, Saturday he asked for his Binky and I told him the WAWOW (DOG) had taken it, he went on to play, and didnt ask for it until the night again I sort of expalined him that he could not have it any more cause he was already a grown up baby (as if he understands) he turns around then back to me and wants my arms to be around him, he fell asleep on my forearm (aaah) Sunday he totally forgot about it cause he didnt ask for him he calls his bink (titi) and his bottle (teta) he would ask for teta. So all this week he has been the grown up baby I told him and he has done away with using a BINKY!!

9/11 - REMEMBRANCE

WASHINGTON – On Sept. 11, 2001, Barack Obama was driving to a state legislative hearing in Chicago when he heard the first sketchy reports of a plane hitting the World Trade Center on his car radio. The 40-year-old state senator spent the afternoon in his law office watching "nightmare images" of destruction and grief unfold on TV.

Within days, he'd issued a statement about what the nation should do next.

Beyond the immediate needs to improve security and dismantle "organizations of destruction," Obama wrote, lay the more difficult job of "understanding the sources of such madness." He wrote of "a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers," of "embittered children" around the world, of the seeds of discontent sown in poverty, ignorance and despair.

The nuanced musings of an obscure state senator, Obama's statement never even made the big Chicago dailies.

Associated Press ( sorry copied part of article)

Today is yet another anniversary for 9/11. God Bless all those lives that were lost, and their families in during this time of grievance. Most of us understand the feeling of loosing a loved one. Peace be with every singly family that lost a loved one.

Labor Day Weekend

HE LOVES BEEF JERKY-Thanks ROY and BELLE for your contribution of the Jerky

So what if it was Labor Day, I still had to work at home. JAYSON and I went to several outings we had a good time. Friday, we stayed home I was too tired to go anywhere as far as our football team we lost against Brownsville, TX the game was on Thursday so we weren't able to attend besides that was my brothers birthday. Saturday we went over to Jesses' house we spent the whole afternoon and night there until I came back home at around 2 in the morning. Sunday, JAYSON and I went over to the ranch (Mexico) for breakfast. My aunts parents had an anniversary party there at the ranch my uncle made menudo and barbacoa for breakfast so we went over for breakfast and came back in the afternoon. Later we went again to Jesses house for lunch/dinner we got home at 11:00 ish or so. Monday, I finally got to clean my room (didnt even bother going into the closet its still a mess!!) watched movies with JAYSON, took a nap, went to the neighbors to play bingo (mexican loteria) then got ready to go to LeeRoys parents house for Labor Day BBQ. It was delicious. My friend Belle and her parents got there late they were coming in from HOUSTON she purchased a new Land Rover it is awesome. We stayed there til about midnight. Now I am super sleepy here at work needed more time to sleep!!

WORRY FREE!

This blog is mainly about Jayson and his adventures but today I have to share something about me I kind of do that once in a while. Well it all started in July went to visit my ob/gyn Dr. Tey (he's a cutie pie :)) well they found that my blood pressure was high so they took me of my birthcontrol and prescribed me a new pack "Loestrin24Fe" those contain less estrogen which might be the cause of my high pressure. He told me to continue on the new pack and take the pill for that day "Thursday" I did and continued as normal, the pack ends on Saturday we were already in August I wait the normal waiting days to get my monthly well I didnt I called the doctors office and they tell me to go ahead and start the new pack on Sunday (thats when I start my new pack) so I did I wasnt comfortable so I went to buy a pregnancy test, there was that doubt that maybe I was prego due to the change in pills well to my relief it was negative so I continued been normal days go by I finished the pack for August, I always get my period on Wednesday, well its Wednesday and there is no sign of my period what so ever, I have all this things going thru my mind and the possibility that the pregnancy test failed and I am pregnant, but I have been taking my pills on every day and on time! I feel very frustrated when the day is coming to an end I couldn't sleep worring about the future how am I going to do it with a baby I havent been on my job for more than a year I dont have short term disability for when I deliver will I have enough days to cover my maternity leave, will I go through the same as I went with Jayson, bed rest due to high blood pressure the last 2 months of pregnancy what if things get complicated and I have to be bed ridden for more than that. I went home and every time I would check for signs of pregnancy comparing things I would look at Jayson and would tell myself well Jayson will have a baby brother or sister to play with everything will be fine. If I am pregnant everything will be fine GOD is grateful and a child would be just another blessing. So I decided to take life day by day. I couldnt sleep throughout the night until finally I told myself enough you are probably stressing over nothing relax and let it be. In the morning I took another pregnancy test and once again NEGATIVE but still no signs of my period. I spoke to one of my co-workers which I confide with. He is a good friend and trust worthy. Well, I finally get my period TODAY!! I havent been more happy of getting my period as today! I just couldnt believe that there was a possibility of me being prego I take the BC everyday dont miss a dose at the same time I couldnt believe I was that 1% of the ones that BC failed AGAIN on me I wanted to be on the 99% list. Well enough of that just wanted to share with you my month journey.

BOOTS!!

Looking forward for the weekend. A three day weekend. We are off on Monday due to Labor Day! And its the White Wing Season here in the RGV. Jayson is ready for it. Rose (Jesse's Sister) bought him a pair of boots. He loved them cause he didnt want to take them off. We tried them on to see if they fit that way if they didnt she could take them back to exchange them for a different size but they fit okay. I cant wait to go to Academy and buy him a camoflauge outfit to go with his boots. He had worn those boots all this week even with his PJ's he didnt want to take them off Monday morning. Yesterday he went with jeans to his sitters house the sitter (Chachi) told me that they went outside and since it has been drizziling they got dirty he bent down to wipe them clean. He is such a character. I LOVE YOU JAYSON! These pictures were taken the day he was given the pair of boots he is wearing shorts!

Thanks Girls! Tuesday, Mom, Jayson and I went to the Mall made payments and bought Jayson some jeans at Baby Gap couldnt resist the offer. Later we went to Sam's Club bought Jaysons Pampers and some groceries for the house we then went to my brother Roys' house in Edinburg, my sister in law had dinner for us some home made Buffalo Wings they were delicious in this chipotle sauce mmmh. Wednesday, well I colored my hair!!! I was tired of the highlights, my hair was breaking too much bleach I figure so I went dark! I felt wierd used to my lighted hair but finally I did it to my advantage my friends all liked it. I got compliments at the salon, home, work family and friends. So its alright. Hopefully I can maintain it healthy!! Thursday we stayed home finally. Friday as you may have already read we went to the football game and Saturday to Laurens Birthday Party it was a fun party Jayson and I enjoyed though it was SUPER HOT!! Sunday we went over to Jaysons father house I made Enchiladas which Jesse loves he prefers mine over his moms!! I am posting a picture of Jayson, Tutu and Tia Amparo. Tia (Aunt)Amparo is not my aunt she is my cousins aunt but I still call her "Tia" it is the first time other than in pictures that she sees Jayson. Tia Amparo lives in California and that where Jayson and I will crash in November when we go for Sally's daughter Katrinas Quinceanera. I cant wait til then. !!GO COYOTES GO!!

It's the second scrimmage of the season and our mighty Coyotes won this past Friday, 28-12 against Laredo Cigaroa "Toros". It was an amazing game. Though one of the twins got injured in the field but gratefuly he is doing better already. It was our first appearance for the 2009-2010 Football Season Jayson was in his best behavior until 3:35 minutes in the last quarter where he had to go potty with #2, so we had to go down the bleachers and get him change in a hurry. Lucky we came back on time to watch the ending of the game. I like to stay until the end of the game whether we win or loose.

Friday Night Lights!!

It's that time of the year "Friday Night Lights" my youngest brother is out of high school so we have noone else in the family in High School, though Ive made a very good friend here at work Elma Garcia she is the mother of a young and wonderful daughter Belle (27) and two enormous, tall and athletic twind Ruben and Robbie yes theyre on their Senior year and playing High School Football. Since there is not much to do here in the Valley (its very high daily on the 3 digits)but there is always time and the love for high school football. Well, I guess it coming back high school football fever. So Jayson and I will be attending games every friday from now til they end. Our school district decided to break up into three different high schools (big mistake if you ask me) so the excitment kind of broke down into three different mascots La Joya COYOTES!! Huskies and Lobos (once a Coyote always a Coyote!)

"And He took the children in His arms, put His hands on them and blessed them."

Jayson is doing much better this morning, he woke up a bit fuzzy but I figure that kids wake up like that almost every morning. It was a good Kodak moment but as usually didnt have mine on hand. He was like crying (no tears) with his eyes closed and tighting them not to open to a bit of light and making this whinning noise. Yesterday I took him to the Dr. he prescribed new medication since he does have an ear infection let me tell you it was as if GOD answered my prayers after the dose of each of the meds (3) there was a complete change in him. He started to walk (he just wanted to be in bed) and play with the toys he's got. He slept trought the night after a good bath with Johnsons' green bottle shampoo. It was until this morn ing he was fuzzy again. I am to give him one of the meds for three days every 12 hours and the other for 10 days every 12 hours as well the other med is Advil for his fever.

The pictures that follow were taking some time back with my nephew Saul in his John Deer little truck Jayson was buckled by my nephew as soon as I sat him "Iana (as he calls me) give me the seat belt cause I drive real fast and Jayson can fall"

Wednesday, August 19, 2009

"For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him: 1 Samuel 1:27

Last night was not the best night at all. Jayson has been sick. Ear ache seems to have gone away cause he hasnt been fuzzy for that. But last night the fever came back, we were up every hour of the night sleep, wake up to Jayson's cry and so on. Though I was super sleepy, I didnt complain to do my duty, cuddle him up gave him some medicine when it was time for it. I just pray that the fever goes away I dont want him to go through the same tonight. I called his doctor and was told to continue giving him the medicine for one more day and if it continued to take him to the dr's office. I LOVE YOU JAYSON! HOPE U R DOING BETTER TODAY! Any suggestions on what i can do besides going in to the Dr's office. Dont think I am neglecting him from taking him to see a Dr. I am lucky to have Dr. Soto as his Pediatrician he answers to all my million calls when JAYSON gets sick.

Your Opinion Counts

Jayson is outgrowing his baby carseat. I am in the shopping mode for a new car seat for him, switching from a rear facing to a forward facing. I've been looking and searching for them in the internet and after reviews and more reviews I've decided to purchase an Eddie Bauer one. My sister has one and she highly recommends it for all the features it has and will make Jayson more confortable than the other ones out in the market. Let it be said, our Ford Expedition is an Eddie Bauer its color is Candy Apple Red with Tan Trim and the interior is Tan with a darker brown/gray trim. I am posting some pictures so you can help me decide which one the only variation would be the price which difference is between 10-25 dollars difference here they are. Please comment on which one you would like for us to buy.

License to Drive

Yesterday was Danika's birthday (Jayson's sister) she turned 11 years old. Family gathered at Peter Piper Pizza and so did her friends. As for Jayson he had a blast. He went on on all the fun rides there is. He went in the slide that is completely covered, I was afraid he would be afraid to my surprise Jayson went on that slide as a 3-4 year old he laughed and waved by through a section that was cleared. Jayson will be a tough guy! Once again he rode the carrousel and this time he rode the train with his brother Jesse and then all ALONE!! He looked gorgeous, family members were amazed on how brave he was to ride on his own of course he was strapped. Jayson had a blast at his sisters birthday!! I can't wait for his Birthday Party.

ROAD TRIP

Our road trip to San Antonio was a sucess, Jayson slept all the way from home to San Antonio a few miles into the road and he was asleep. Good for him, as for me I was the driver and my mom was with him in the back seat of the truck. We got to my sisters house and Jayson woke up, I fed him I hadn't fed him in the past 4 hours or so. He finished his bottle and cuddled in my arms and went back to sleep. My nephew had a band concert at noon. We went to have breakfast at IHOP and then went to his concert. My nephew has grown a lot time sure is passing by super fast. Later in the day we went shopping, I bought Jayson a new pair of tennis shoes just last month he got a new pair and they dont fit anymore his feet are growing and so is he. I am still a bit concerned there are still no signs of him getting any teeth yet. He is about to reach 10 months and no signs, he puts every thing he gets into his mouth I imagine that its for him to soothe his itching gums or something you should see how he rubs things against his gums. I need to catch him doing it so I can take him a picture and share it with you guys. We went out on Saturday, my sister her husband and myself we went to have dinner downtown San Antonio we wanted to go to the cruise down the River Walk but it was too chilly so we opted to dine in a resturant in downtown. It was good and I also had a couple of drinks and then headed back home. Sunday we went over to a flea market close by, we walked and walked and there seem to be nothing intresting that caught my eye we walked out with two pairs of Geranium plants @ $8.00 a pair and my brother in-law bought himself a knife cost him $55.00 we stopped to see them and the sales guy was you know convencing him to buy it, my brother in law said it was too much and the guys tells him buy it for $55 and if you find one cheaper buy it bring me the receipt and I will buy the one you purchased from me back. My brother in law is not convenced and walks away I stayed behind and heard him say he wasted my time and didnt buy anything. My brother in law and nephew say they will be right back and my sister, mom, my little nephew, Jayson and I found a place to sit and waited, waited, waited and they finally show up again My B-I-L bought him the knife and I asked from the same guy and he goes yeah, I said what he was pissed off when we walked away from his stand and said that you had wasted his time. My BIL sighed and we walked out of the market. We went back to my sisters loaded and headed back to the RG Valley. I felt sad leaving them behind knowing I will see them 'til the end of the month now I know how they feel when they come to our house. Love you guys!

Life Is Beautiful

Well, I have been busy at work all this week. And busy at home as well, I joined an Aerobics class to fullfill my resolution of loosing weight this year. I want to be fit for my baby and be a healthy mom to him as well and of course for my own good. This week all I have done is browse and click next blog and have found so many families in need of prayer. This morning I found a blog of a 1 pound baby. God does create miracles. Kayleigh is already seven months and what I read you can click on her button and it will take you to her story and you will read for yourself. Another family is The Calls Family Mr. Call has been going through radiation and things are also going well for him. Just to let you (my blogging world friends) You all are always in my daily prayers. Thanks for allowing me come into your lifes even though we don't know each other personally. Thank you all once again. I hope next week will be a good week and gives me a chance to blog. I almost forgot Pray for Que and Brittany to be able to adopt they seem to be ready to become parents. Good Luck. And GOD BLESS YOU ALL. P.S. I will be going to San Antonio for the weekend Jayson is going too. Looking forward for a nice weekend. BYE!!
